Effective Date

The Global Interdisciplinary Research and Publishing Collective (GIRPC) Journal is committed to a transparent, fair, rigorous, and efficient editorial process that ensures every manuscript receives an objective evaluation based solely on its scholarly merit.

The Journal follows a structured publication workflow designed to maintain the highest standards of academic integrity, editorial independence, ethical publishing, and research quality.

Every manuscript progresses through a series of editorial stages before publication. Advancement to each subsequent stage depends upon successful completion of the preceding stage and compliance with the Journal's editorial and ethical requirements.

Purpose

The purpose of the Publication Process is to:

ensure fair and consistent editorial assessment;
maintain the integrity of peer review;
uphold academic quality;
promote transparency throughout manuscript handling;
protect the rights of authors and reviewers; and
preserve confidence in the Journal's publication practices.

Overview of the Publication Workflow

Every manuscript normally proceeds through the following stages:

Each stage is described below.

Stage 1 — Manuscript Submission

Authors submit their manuscript together with all required documents through the Journal's designated submission system or official submission method.

A complete submission should normally include:

Title Page
Author Declaration Form
Conflict of Interest Disclosure
Copyright Form
Supplementary Files (where applicable)

Incomplete submissions may be returned to the corresponding author before editorial assessment begins.

Stage 2 — Initial Editorial Screening

The Editorial Office conducts an initial review to determine whether the submission falls within the aims and scope of the Journal.

During this stage the manuscript is assessed for:

relevance to the Journal;
completeness of submission;
compliance with submission requirements;
overall presentation; and
suitability for editorial consideration.

Manuscripts clearly outside the scope of the Journal may be declined at this stage.

Stage 3 — Technical Compliance Review

Eligible manuscripts undergo a technical review to verify compliance with the Journal's submission requirements.

This assessment may include:

manuscript formatting;
reference style;
figure quality;
table presentation;
required declarations;
ethical statements where applicable; and
completeness of submission documents.

Authors may be requested to correct technical deficiencies before the manuscript proceeds further.

Stage 4 — Originality Assessment

The Journal evaluates manuscripts for originality and appropriate scholarly attribution. Editorial assessment may include the use of originality assessment methods or similarity-detection technologies together with editorial judgment. Similarity reports are considered as one component of editorial evaluation and are not interpreted solely on the basis of numerical similarity values. Manuscripts raising concerns regarding originality or publication ethics may undergo additional editorial review.

Stage 5 — Editor Assignment

Following successful editorial screening, the manuscript is assigned to an appropriate editor possessing relevant academic expertise. The assigned editor assumes responsibility for overseeing the editorial assessment and peer-review process while ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and editorial independence. Editors shall declare any conflict of interest and recuse themselves where appropriate.

Stage 6 — Peer Review

Suitable manuscripts are forwarded for independent peer review in accordance with the Journal's Peer Review Policy. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript on the basis of:

originality;
scientific or scholarly quality;
methodological rigor;
significance of the contribution;
ethical compliance;
clarity of presentation; and
suitability for publication.

Reviewer identities and review procedures shall be managed according to the Journal's established peer-review practices.

Stage 7 — Editorial Decision

After considering reviewer reports and the editor's independent assessment, one of the following editorial decisions may be reached:

Accept
Accept with Minor Revisions
Major Revisions Required
Revise and Resubmit
Reject

Editorial decisions are based exclusively upon scholarly merit, methodological quality, originality, ethical compliance, and relevance to the Journal.

Stage 8 — Author Revision

Where revisions are requested, authors should address each reviewer comment carefully and submit:

a revised manuscript; and
a detailed response explaining how reviewer comments have been addressed.

Failure to respond adequately to requested revisions may affect further editorial consideration.

Stage 9 — Final Editorial Assessment

The revised manuscript is evaluated by the handling editor and, where appropriate, may be returned to the original reviewers for further assessment. The editor determines whether the manuscript satisfactorily addresses the issues identified during peer review. Additional rounds of revision may be requested where necessary.

Stage 10 — Acceptance

A manuscript is accepted for publication only after the Editor determines that it satisfies the Journal's standards regarding:

originality;
scholarly quality;
methodological soundness;
ethical compliance;
clarity of presentation; and
contribution to knowledge.

Acceptance confirms that the manuscript has successfully completed the Journal's editorial process.

Stage 11 — Copyediting

Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting to improve consistency, clarity, grammar, formatting, and editorial presentation. Copyediting is intended to enhance readability while preserving the authors' intended meaning and scholarly content.

Stage 12 — Proofreading

Authors may be provided with publication proofs to review for typographical or production errors before final publication. Proof corrections should be limited to necessary amendments and should not introduce substantial new content.

Stage 13 — Publication

Following completion of all production stages, the article is formally published on the Journal's official website.

Published articles become part of the permanent scholarly record and are assigned the publication details applicable to the Journal.

Stage 14 — Post-Publication Oversight

The Journal remains committed to maintaining the integrity of published research after publication. Where appropriate, post-publication actions may include:

corrections;
expressions of concern;
retractions;
editorial notices; or
other measures necessary to preserve the accuracy of the scholarly record.

Such actions shall be governed by the Journal's Retraction & Correction Policy and Publication Ethics framework.
